Laminate Flooring Installation
After selecting one of our high-quality laminate floors, have our expert installers do the hard work for you!
Why should I choose laminate floors?
Laminate flooring is a great way to achieve the look of hardwood flooring at a more affordable price. It’s also less expensive to install per square foot. In addition, laminate flooring resists scratches, dents and stains, making it an excellent option for people with pets or in high traffic areas.
When laying the laminate flooring, remember that you can even install it over existing vinyl, hardwood and tile flooring, provided the floor is clean, level and doesn’t have moisture problems.
Replacing a carpet or a worn floor with laminate flooring is an excellent idea for anyone looking for a combination of style and durability. Perfect for high-traffic areas, laminate floors are an affordable alternative to tile and are scratch, moisture and fade resistant.

Will I need trim and moulding for my new laminate floor?
Yes, trim and moulding are a vital part of any flooring project. These strips fill in gaps and create transitions from floor to wall and room to room. Of course, we also stock transitions in all colours.
Where can laminate flooring be installed?
Laminate installation is an excellent choice for many rooms in your home, including your living room, bedrooms, dining room or basement. The tough top layer can resist moisture, making it an excellent option for kitchens and bathrooms where spills are a possibility. We can also install it over existing flooring such as vinyl, hardwood, and tile, provided the floor is clean, level and doesn’t have moisture problems. Unfortunately, we cannot install laminate over an existing carpet or floating floor.
Is underlayment required for installing laminate?
Underlayment helps reduce noise when your floor is walked on. In addition, many underlayments are mould-and mildew-resistant, sealing out moisture to protect your floors. Our laminate installers can help you choose the right underlayment option for your floor, although some come pre-adhered to the product.
Can laminate be installed over an uneven subfloor?
While specific tolerances vary by product, having a level subfloor prevents damage to the locking system, gaps between boards and poor floor performance. If necessary, our professional installers will level your subfloor before installation at an additional cost. Their expertise will ensure you have a flat surface.
How do I clean and maintain laminate flooring?
Follow the specific care and maintenance manufacturer instructions for your new flooring product.
